The Daily Post Prompt: Greetings, Stranger
Today’s Daily Prompt from The Daily Post:
Greetings, Stranger
You’re sitting at a café when a stranger approaches you. This person asks what your name is, and, for some reason, you reply. The stranger nods, “I’ve been looking for you.” What happens next?
I’m not big on writing, this will be a real challenge for me.
I give him a quizzical look. Why would someone I have never seen be looking for me? My mind is racing, should I make him go away? Should I ask him to sit down? Oh hell, I can’t shew him away without finding out why he’s looking for me. He’s tall, blonde, muscular. And his eyes are the most beautiful blue, green and grey color that I have ever seen.
“Would you like to sit down?” As he’s pulling out the chair to sit, I blurt out “Why are you looking for me?” He remains standing and replies ” When you got out of your car you slammed your door into my new Beamer and put a ding in my door. Either you or your insurance company will be paying to have it repaired.”
Crap, I should have kept my mouth shut.
