What do you do to make a living or during the day? If you are retired what mostly occupies your day? Or if you are a student what are you studying?
I’m no longer working. I spend time on my laptop, watch TV. Watch a lot of YouTube documentaries on ancient cultures so I guess I can say that I am learning. I make sure all the bills are paid and accounts are balanced. I love doing jigsaw puzzles. I plan meals, make shopping lists and do the cooking.
Is there a stuffed animal in your bedroom?
I have a stuffed Alf in the closet.
What did you appreciate this past week?
I Really appreciated that the weather finally warmed up to freezing last Friday.
What caring thing are you going to do for yourself today?
I am taking a Food Holiday. What is a food holiday you may ask? It’s a day or two when you either fast or eat Very light. My body needs this after all of the yummy foods I splurged on.
List at least five of your favorite spices? (excluding salt and pepper)
I want so much for cocoa to be a spice. So let me convince you. It is a bean. It is a seed. Good start, right? It gets ground into a powder….just like other spices. You add it to food and drink to give the food and/or drink a very good flavor. Have you ever added cocoa powder to chili? I have. And there you go, it’s a spice. That said here is my list: cocoa powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and cumin.
What can you always be found with?
I can always be found with seltzer, coffee or tea. Seltzer because it’s my soda replacement. My coffee is one cup in the morning with half and half. My tea is plain, nothing added, hot when it’s cool outside and cold when it’s hot outside.
Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want have a evening with?
Oh my, so many options. Seriously, there is a whole group of people that I would like to gather and ask one question….What the HELL were you thinking?! I’m not going to name names.
If you could be a tree or plant, what would you be?
In the Spring I would be a weeping willow, in the Summer a banana plant, in the Fall a mighty oak and in Winter a douglas fir.
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
With two birthdays and Halloween I appreciate that the past week is over.
I think I’ll go with taste. I wear glasses, hubby tells me my hearing is going, thanks to the diabetes monster my fingertips are tingly and a quarter of the year my nose is stuffy. Yup…it’s taste. (and yes, that is a lunch of cheddar cheese, honeydew melon and dates…on a paper plate because I hate doing dishes.)
Which of Snow White’s 7 dwarfs describes you best? (Doc, Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Grumpy, Dopey)
When I was young I was Bashful. When my boys were young I was Doc. Part of the year I’m Sneezy. Since my hair has turned grey I am a combination of Sleepy, Dopey and Grumpy. However…..I spend most of my time as Happy.
If you could be one age for the rest of your life, what age would that be?
I would like my 61 year old brain put into my 20 year old body.

Olives, yuck. But they actually have health benefits so I do eat the black ones when they are covered in cheese on top of a pizza.
