A monument to the Navy “Seabees” at the entrance to the Arlington National Cemetery.

The Seabees are the United States Naval Mobile Construction Battalion.  The nickname of Seabee comes from the initials C and B for Construction Battalion.  The Seabees had their start during World War II.  Their job was to build roads, runways and bases.
