screenshot_343As Cee and I were driving through southeast Portland yesterday, we saw a car with a big fish on the roof.  No, it’s a big cob of corn.  No, it’s a fish.  It actually turned out to be both.  It was the Fishy Corn car.  (We didn’t take the picture.  I just snagged it off the internet.)

The fishy corn car is part of a fleet that is driving around the United States to protest genetically modified foods.  Such foods are suspicious, fishy, questionable, and the public has a right to know that their food is being altered.  The organization behind this effort has fishy corn, apple, soybean, tomato and sugar beet fishy cars that they drive from state to state.  They stop and hold little rallies in support of GMO labeling.

Sixty-four countries around the world already require labeling, but the US and Canada do not.  I avoid GMO…
