Travel Find Thursday – Dallas County Museum – Buffalo Missouri

The Museum is part of the Buffalo Head Prairie Historical Park which is located on Highway 65 on the south end of Buffalo, Missouri. The park is home to the Dallas County Museum and the Jacobsen Research Library for genealogy research.

  1. I love small museums that focus on local history. Big museums are great for the broad view but small, local museums, monuments and memorials give you a real slice of an area’s life and history. They highlight the similarities and differences in daily life between different places and eras.
